**Job Title: Night Shift Mental Health Nurse - Acute Inpatient**

**Position Overview:**
Join a newly opened beautiful mental health facility as a Night Shift Mental Health Nurse. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on the care of adults, geriatric patients, and adolescents facing mental health and behavioral disorders. The facility utilizes restraint methods, so candidates should possess experience in this area.

**Shift Details:**
- **Schedule:** Night Shift, 12 hours (8 PM to 8 AM), with weekends and holidays as assigned.
- **Hours per week:** Guaranteed hours, typically working 2 days on and 3 days off.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in an acute inpatient setting.
- Utilize and understand the application of restraint techniques when necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic and paper charting for restraint situations.
- Administer medications using the Omnicell system and coordinate with the onsite pharmacy available 24/7.
- Participate actively in de-escalation training and ongoing professional development.

**Qualifications:**
- Active Pennsylvania nursing license required at the time of submission.
- Minimum of 1-year recent experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric facility.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and substance abuse treatment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

**Facility Information:**
- Location: Northeast Pennsylvania, Scranton-Wilkes Barre Metro area.
- Close proximity to recreational activities, including a nearby ski resort, offering a vibrant community for personal enjoyment.

**Orientation & Training:**
- Orientation period of 3 to 5 days, including free de-escalation training ("Handles With Care").
