Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and rotating day/night shifts.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Cardiovascular ICU specializing in comprehensive circulatory and respiratory support for critically ill adults
• Specialized procedures include open-heart surgeries, ventricular assist devices (VADs), heart and lung transplants, ECMO, aortic aneurysm repair, and vascular and thoracic surgeries
• Patient population consists of critically ill adults requiring advanced cardiopulmonary support, including vasoactive medications and complete cardiopulmonary support
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are acuity-based and range from 1:1, 1:2, to 2:1
• Rotating day and night shifts (3x12-hour shifts); days: 7:00–19:30, nights: 19:00–7:30
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period
• Floating within or between like units is required based on unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Charting performed in Epic
• Navy scrubs required

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required

• Unit functions as a regional destination for comprehensive circulatory and respiratory support, supported by a multidisciplinary team focused on holistic care, education, and improving patient outcomes
• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but may be subject to a different pay structure
• Up to 10 RTO days are allowed; RTO is not permitted during the following blackout periods: May 8–11, May 21–27, and June 28–July 9
