Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT-CT certification and strong trauma and angiogram experience for a Radiology position at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL.
Details
- 492-bed Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center - Radiology department setting with rotation across different areas within the department - Inpatient and outpatient patient population, primarily adults with occasional pediatric outpatients and ED patients - 1:1 patient ratio with an average of approximately 4 patients per hour (40 patients per day) - Procedures include biopsy drainage, trauma imaging, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies - All GE CT equipment; EMR is Cerner - 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, Friday through Sunday starting at 8:00 AM - Floating throughout the hospital as needed per facility policy - Weekend rotation varies, typically once a month but subject to change based on departmental needs - On-call is voluntary
Requirements
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required - ARRT-CT specialty certification required - AL state license preferred; license required if applicable - Minimum 1 year of CT experience considered if skills are strong; first-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience - Proficiency with biopsy drainage, trauma CT, and angiograms required - Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred - Experience with GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR preferred - 1 reference from a charge-level or above supervisor within the past 12 months required for consideration - DOB (day and month) and full SSN required for consideration - Copy of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation consists of one 8-hour hospital orientation followed by 2–3 shifts on the unit with a day-shift technologist - Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position - Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler - Interviews are conducted via SimpliFi; candidates should be prepared for an interview - Holiday coverage expectations include one major and one minor seasonal holiday per facility policy
