As the Training Program Manager at Fleet Feet, you'll lead the charge in creating meaningful, fun, and safe experiences for runners and walkers of all levels. From overseeing program logistics and hiring coaches to inspiring participants and building a welcoming social environment, this role blends event planning, people leadership, and customer engagement. You'll work closely with store staff, coaches, volunteers, and the marketing team to ensure that every training program and club event is inclusive, motivational, and well-executed, helping participants achieve their goals while strengthening their connection to Fleet Feet. What You'll Do: Oversee and manage all store-led running club events and training programs Recruit, hire, and supervise coaches, mentors, and volunteers Implement training plans and ensure all programming delivers a high-quality participant experience Schedule and coordinate events, ensuring secure venues and efficient logistics Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters personal growth and social connection Communicate regularly with participants through emails, social media, and in-person touchpoints Promote Fleet Feet programs, events, and partner products in collaboration with the marketing team Ensure the safety of all participants by promoting awareness, preparedness, and inclusivity Lead with positivity and confidence, including speaking in front of groups at program kickoffs, events, and runs Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to staff and volunteers to promote performance and development Use sound judgment in decision-making, always prioritizing customer and community trust What We're Looking For: 2–3 years of experience in retail, training programs, fitness instruction, or running-related community leadership At least 1 year of people or program management experience Outgoing, approachable, and comfortable speaking to large groups Strong organizational and multitasking skills; can juggle logistics, communication, and team coordination Self-motivated, adaptable, and customer-first Collaborative, accountable, and enthusiastic about building a healthy, supportive community Willingness to go above and beyond to create memorable participant experiences Why You'll Love It Here: Inspire Community: Help people achieve their fitness goals while fostering lasting friendships and local connections Lead with Purpose: Own the design and execution of community programs that reflect Fleet Feet’s mission and values Collaborative Culture: Work alongside passionate teammates who are as driven by purpose as they are by performance Personal and Professional Growth: Build your skills in coaching, leadership, and event management in a dynamic environment Fitness-Centered Mission: Join a company that believes in the power of movement to transform lives Benefits: "Great People Deserve Great Perks/Benefits" (k) with 4% Company Match: Available to employees aged 21+ at company-owned stores.
