Job Summary:

The Training Manager is responsible for monitoring the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Training Department with a variety of work in Operations, Training, and Human Resources. This position is a key management role for the corporate office.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:

  • Over see creation of the Training calendars for new hires
  • Ensure all Training programs are in compliance with the BACB and adapt to all regulation changes.
  • Create Training material and Powerpoints, as needed.
  • Communicate with the Onboarding team for new hire preparation prior to the first day of training.
  • Oversee the scheduling and organization of all staff involved in new hire training; ensure calendar invites and zoom links have been sent out.
  • Assist in scheduling training makeups with new hire(s) and supervisors.
  • Ensure maintenance of relias training, staff credentials, and applicable warnings have been sent to staff.
  • Perform a check of the SAM, DHCS and OIG databases during the second month of each quarter.
  • Oversee training admin has ensured that all staff with a valid State of Nevada Licensure begin their renewal on time in order to prevent service interruptions.
  • Work with Clinical Directors in the development of strategic plans for training compliance and development.
  • Provide an overview of GOALS policies and expectations during Training and lead new hires through essential information pertaining to their RBT credentialing process on their first day of work.
  • Teach "Welcome to GOALS", "Logins and Setup", "Spiceworks", and "Code Metro" training.
  • Supervise staff during Training.
  • Guide staff through the progress of obtaining their RBT Certification
  • Assist in making and rescheduling overlaps
  • Meet with new hire prior to their first overlap and guide them through catalyst
  • Check on the progress of their overlaps
  • Help therapists schedule Competency Assessments with BCBAs and BCaBAs.
  • Respond to emails sent to the Training Department within 2 business days.
  • Update "Responsible Certificant" document, as needed.
  • Check in with uncertified BTs once a week. Follow up after reported assessment or exam dates.
  • Assist Training Admin in screening for and notifying staff of upcoming credential expiration dates including RBT/BCBA/BCaBA and CPR once per month.
  • Assist Training Admin in screening for and notifying staff of upcoming expiration of TB test results, Flu Shot, and COVID-19 vaccine once per month.
  • Assist Training Admin in screening for and notifying staff of upcoming expiration of Driver's License and Registration once per month.
  • File and track submission of supervision forms, as needed.
  • Read the BACB newsletter monthly and discuss details with Operations and the CEO.
  • Provide Clinical Staff with training updates monthly during the Supervisor Meeting.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of training transcripts and certificates.
  • Call no-shows on the first day of training and report to HR and Jobs.
  • Develop and maintain a record of employees who have attended training.
  • Evaluate the changing needs of the company and plan training programs accordingly.
  • Conduct performance evaluations with Training, provide performance feedback.
  • Participate in projects related to accreditation.
  • Provide leadership development education with Supervisors and company management.
  • Provide additional training options to retain, develop and bring wellness to current employees.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Computer Proficient and well versed in MS Office and Google Apps.
  • Customer Service skills essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills.
  • Highly detailed-oriented and organized
  • High patience level
  • Capable of multitasking and handling difficult situations

  • Clinical Supervisors
  • Training Administrators
  • Training Assistant Managers

Preferred Education or Training Equivalent to:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in management preferred.

Minimum Years of Additional Related Experience:

  • One year of related professional experience is preferred.
  • One year experience in ABA required.

  • Applicable knowledge of all computer applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Physical Requirements (Approximate Percent per 7.5-hour Workday):

  • Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation (90%+)
This is an internal company position and compensation will be $2 to $4 above your normal hourly rate.
