We are looking for awesome Food Service Workers and Cooks (w/ experience) to interact and provide proper service etiquette to guests and to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen if needed. You’ll perform routine dining room and kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. You will be professional and flexible with the ability to follow instructions and guidelines, as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen and working areas. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team. Applicants should be hard-working, fast on their feet, coachable, quality-oriented, and willing to learn. A positive attitude, with the ability to maintain focus and effective communication skills. Ideal candidate has open availability with RELIABLE transportation and a working cellphone at all times. MUST have HEP A verification ready.
Responsibilities
Arrive to site on time and ready to work
Provide excellent guest service at all times
Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
Ability to multitask
Basic knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and food service
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Skills
Proven experience in the culinary field
Adequate knife skills
Knowledge of health and safety rules
A team player with good communication skills
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
Very good physical condition and endurance
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
Must be at least 18 years old
Requirements
Have worked as a professional food serve worker or prep cook (not including fast food)
Up to date Hepatitis A vaccinations records
Valid Driver's License and willing to travel to work in the St. Louis metro area.
