The Test Equipment Engineering ( TEE ) team Hardware Discipline Directorate is a multi-disciplined organization responsible for developing advanced test solutions for all Raytheon products.
We are hands-on systems developers and integrators using the latest technology and tools to provide state-of-the-art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system products.
TEE supports efforts across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and post-production sustainment.
What you Will Do
The TEE Technical Data Package ( TDP ) Manager will be a key part of a multidisciplined engineering team. As Manager, you will be responsible for a team of engineers who plan, design, lay-out, draw, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, references, and data.
The TEE TDP Manager ensures the team complies to industry and company standards to ensure high-quality artifacts supporting all engineering development phases. The TEE TDP Manager works across every sub-business unit and program team to understand priorities and ensure the team is delivering on-time and on budget. Supervise and lead a team of 12-18 members, establishing meaningful and measurable goals by communicating effectively to ensure alignment with the department and directorate
Conduct formal/informal performance reviews and career development discussions
Lead by example while adhering to and ensuring alignment with our Values and Behaviors: Safety, Trust, Respect, Collaboration, Innovation, and Accountability
Manager duties anticipated at ~15% of the work week, with the remainder of the work week charged to TEE program contracts
Perform and model best practices related to engineering model integrity, configuration management data structure, development of milestone review artifacts and other technical data package elements
Own the execution of long-term strategy and the operational direction for the TEE TDP management organization
Influence others inside and outside of the TEE organization both in the establishment and the enforcement of policies, practices and procedures
Support the development of proposals that provide sound technical data packages and engineering documentation artifacts consistent with contract requirements
Design major components and/or major portions of functional systems - to include detailed cables/harnesses and interconnects, technically advanced prototypes, and specific products using computer design and engineering systems
Provide independent Program health checks by evaluating metrics, interacting with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Cross Product Team/Directorate Leads, and other functional management, driving results to achieve program and business unit objectives
Support TEE hiring goals and lead onboarding of new section personnel
This position is 100% on site in Tucson, Arizona
Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Math (STEM)
Minimum of 15 years relevant experience
Experience with engineering design tools, processes, and documentation standards
Experience understanding and communicating complex technical data and requirements in accordance with industry specifications and standards
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer Understanding of earned value management principles and techniques
Prior experience leading multi-disciplined engineers in the execution of delivering engineering documents and technical publications
Experience with CREO parametric, CREO cabling, and CREO schematic
Experience with Mentor Capital, AutoCAD, and Solidworks
Experience with automated test systems and production processes
Understanding of the TEE One Page Process or similar process
Self-starter with ability to manage workload to meet team assigned deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Office
Written and interpersonal communication skills

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
