About the Role Join our team as a Temporary Retail Sales Associate, where you'll have the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service while gaining valuable experience in a retail environment. In this role, you will ensure efficient operations at the point of sale while creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. What You'll Do Welcome customers and assist them with their needs by providing product information and support during their shopping experience. Accurately handle transactions at the cash register, including scanning items, processing payments, and bagging merchandise. Achieve personal goals in sales and customer engagement, including promoting loyalty programs. Ensure inventory accuracy through proper handling of point of sale and merchandise practices. Help onboard new team members by sharing best practices and training on company standards. Participate in daily operational tasks such as balancing cash registers and maintaining supply levels. All associates are expected to: Foster a positive and inclusive team culture with integrity and honesty. Make informed decisions with sound judgment and involve management when necessary. Approach customer service with a proactive mindset, identifying needs and resolving issues effectively. Manage multiple responsibilities efficiently within designated timeframes. Take on additional responsibilities as needed. What Skills You Have Required: Strong customer service skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. No prior retail experience necessary. Must be at least 16 years old. Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred: Experience in retail or a customer service-related field. Essential Functions To excel in this role, you should be able to: Complete all responsibilities outlined in the “What You'll Do” section. Successfully finish company training programs. Adhere to the dress code policy. Utilize basic math skills, read effectively, and operate basic computer systems. Handle communication and operation of various technology devices as required. Maintain consistent attendance and meet the scheduling requirements set by the company. Perform all essential job functions as listed in the physical requirements section. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally over 50 lbs with assistance. Capability to climb, squat, bend, twist, reach, lift, and move regularly. Willingness to stand or walk for the entirety of your scheduled shift. Able to visually inspect merchandise and verify information accurately. Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards. Pay Starts At: $14.50
