WZDX-TV Huntsville WZDX-TV Huntsville, the TEGNA-owned FOX affiliate, is seeking an innovative Producer to shape our daily newscasts. We prioritize original storytelling and investigative journalism to engage, educate, and inform our audiences. We value a collaborative, motivated journalist who can work well within a team and bring authenticity and excitement to storytelling across platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

0-1 years of news content experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong journalistic judgment emphasizing accurate, fair, and community-focused content.

Skills in producing engaging newscasts and digital content.

Active social media presence.

Organizational skills and ability to work under deadlines.

Ability to handle live, breaking news calmly.

Experience with ENPS and Edius preferred.

Responsibilities

Create stories for all platforms tailored to specific audiences.

Meet daily deadlines.

Use visuals, graphics, and sound to engage viewers.

Cover breaking news and community events live.
