Team Lead - 1st Shift

The Team Lead will assist the department manager to achieve department, plant, and corporate goals for safety, quality, and productivity. The position will also be responsible for assisting, supervising and directing operational activities in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards to achieve established production schedules and desired quality levels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Promote clean, safe work areas throughout the plant by continuously checking for hazardous conditions. Assists with consistently administering company policies and practices regarding attendance, performance, etc. Interprets, applies, and/or enforces all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rules. Participate and present Daily Management metrics, conduct 5 Why's, quick Kaizen, create counter measures, collaborate with other departments to solve issues beyond scope, Assists with Implementing and sustains the Masterbrand finishing guidebook. Maintaining employee morale by portraying a positive image of the company through the Masterbrand Way and Success Model. Communicates with employees on a regular basis through verbal and written means, including conducting daily huddles. Assists with allocating daily staffing needs by reviewing workload requirements and initiate appropriate action. Assists in the training and coaching of both new and existing associates within their department to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively. Expected to participate in activities such as training and safety programs in order to enhance the overall effectiveness of the work area(s) involved. Maintains the technical and leadership skills required to effectively administer the production process. Hours: 1st Shift 5:300am / 4:00pm - Monday through Thursday with occasional overtime (extended hours or Fridays) Qualifications
Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation and conflict resolution skills. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be adaptable to change and have the ability/desire to make a difference. Solid math skills and measurements are essential. Mechanical aptitude is a plus. Additional Information
