Overview Join UnityPoint Health's HR Operations team as an HR Payroll Supervisor supporting our AskHR shared services model. This role provides leadership to a team responsible for payroll and timekeeping support, helping ensure accurate pay practices and timely resolution of payroll issues.
The HR Payroll Supervisor partners across HR, IT, and operational teams to improve processes, support system stabilization, and deliver an exceptional employee experience. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop Payroll team members while managing daily workload and priorities
Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate processing, adjustments, and compliance with policies
Investigate and resolve payroll issues in a timely and effective manner
Monitor AskHR payroll cases, ensuring quality, clear documentation, and communication
Support escalations and drive resolution of complex payroll inquiries
Collaborate with Central Payroll, HRIS, IT, and HR Operations to resolve system issues (UKG, Lawson)
Identify process improvements, implement solutions, and support standardization across markets
Qualifications Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience
3-5+ years of payroll, HR operations, or related experience
Prior experience in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred
Skills
Strong customer service orientation
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UKG / Kronos, Lawson, or similar systems
Experience in HR shared services or case management environments
Payroll certification (FPC/CPP) preferred
