Full-Time Summer CDL Bus Drivers

The YMCA is currently seeking Full-Time Summer CDL Bus Drivers for our Child Development program sites. The CDL Bus Driver provides safe transportation to and from program sites within the Boise area while maintaining a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals.

Work Location: 1441 N Sevenoaks Way, Eagle, ID 83616 AND 12650 Bridgers Street, Boise, ID 83713. Each location needs a full-time seasonal CDL Bus Driver.

This is a full-time position averaging 30-40 hours weekly. Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, based on program needs. Pay is $16.95-$21.19/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Drive YMCA bus safely according to YMCA policies and procedures and state laws.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and volunteers.
  • Create a safe environment in which others feel welcome and respected.
  • Ensure YMCA bus rules are announced and followed.
  • Complete thorough pre- and post- trip checks each day.
  • Clean out YMCA bus vehicle each day.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 1 year bus driver experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to meet YMCA transportation/driving requirements.
  • Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
  • Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications

Valid Idaho Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Boise City and/or Idaho State Childcare License - Prerequisite upon hire 14-day compliance period. Pediatric CPR/AED - Prerequisite upon hire 14-day compliance period. First Aid - Prerequisite upon hire 14-day compliance period.
