This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist to provide inpatient pharmacy services at a community hospital located in Ridgecrest, CA. The hospital has approximately 80 beds and is situated a few hours from the Los Angeles area. The role offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, making it ideal for those interested in a travel pharmacist position with the potential for permanent placement.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Variable days and afternoon shifts
  • Flexible schedule options, including a possible 7 days on, 7 days off day-shift rotation

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services to support patient care
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure proper medication dispensing and safety
  • Utilize hospital IT systems, primarily Paragon, to manage pharmacy operations
  • Potentially participate in on-call duties on days worked to assist with urgent pharmacy needs

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active California pharmacist license
  • Current inpatient pharmacy experience required
  • Familiarity with Paragon IT system is a significant advantage
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a community hospital setting
