WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
RBC network team is responsible for the day to day functioning and integration a US based Wealth management network into RBC's global network. Network role is to develop the solution, lead connectivity discussions, communicate with other teams and execute activities to ensure day to day tasks and network projects are accomplished on budget and on time. In this role you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and leading the execution of network changes
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner. Monitor and control activities according to plan.
Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate
Develop and execute on end to end change management plans and plan and execute all communication related to these.
Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
Install, configure, and support internal and external networks and associated equipment
Design, develop and maintain all networking systems, associated applications, security, and network configurations
Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan
Proactively review and implement network designs per Internal network architectural practices
Proactively monitor the backbone equipment health regarding high utilization, errors logs, recurring incidents, etc.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Four years of college from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience maintaining and administering medium and/or large-scale networks
Strong and Clear communication skills
Strong Understanding of IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
Experience enabling / troubleshooting both internal and external - 3rd party connectivity
Proficient in Cisco Command Line Interface / Able to interpret routing tables and troubleshoot interface status
Able to interpret architectural designs / understand how the hardware fits into the overall network design
Experience troubleshooting complex network access and routing incidents
Nice to have:
ACI experience or certification
Experience with various Palo Alto and other FW' s, F5 load balancers , Silver Peak SDWAN
Experience interfacing with network carriers and implementing a variety of network carrier-based circuits
Experience with networks in a large financial network
The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000-$190,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
