Sr. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST (SDET) Atlanta, GA Hybrid Contract $56.59/hr - $61.59/hr Qualifications: 5 to 7 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer. Hands-on experience in writing and maintaining automated UI and API tests using Java, JavaScript, C#, Python with testing libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc. Experience with OOP languages like Java, C# and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, Bash. Knowledge of API and Microservices testing and automation. Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber, JBehave. Proficiency with databases such as SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB. Experience deploying applications on AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes). Automating backend REST services, using tools like Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Cypress, Ready API. Building test automation frameworks from scratch, utilizing design patterns like Page Object Model (POM). Working in distributed agile teams using SCRUM, SAFe, XP. Using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Circle CI; creating and maintaining automation test jobs. Source control experience with GitLab, GitHub, AWS Code Commit. Generating test reports using tools like cucumber report, Extent report. Adaptability to new tools and technologies, effective communication skills, and proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Travel Industry. Automation using Docker, Chef, Puppet, Terraform. Working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudFormation. Virtualizing services for testing with WireMock, Mockito. Experience with test management tools like VersionOne, qTest. Knowledge of container orchestration tools like Docker, Red Hat OpenShift. Experience in non-functional testing (performance, security, usability).
Skillset Needed: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter, Load Runner, SoapUI, REST, Java, Python, JavaScript, VB Script, Gherkin, SQL, NoSQL, AWS services, Agile methodologies, test planning. Responsibilities: Design, develop, execute, and maintain software tests. Define automation strategies and develop tools for various testing types. Participate in design and code reviews. Improve existing processes and develop utilities to boost team efficiency. Expose defects at various levels through testing. Work across front-end and back-end technologies. Own test design and implementation for major deliverables. Integrate tests and automation into CI/CD pipelines. Follow agile principles, collaborate effectively within teams.
