Job Summary We are seeking a strategic Procurement Category Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management for POS materials and Rewards Program suppliers in a convenience store retail environment. This role supports marketing, customer engagement, and in-store execution by ensuring the procurement of signage, display materials, branded merchandise, and customer rewards items across a nationwide network of convenience stores. The ideal candidate has experience in multi-location retail procurement and understands the operational needs of fast-paced convenience store formats. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute procurement strategies for POS and rewards program components. Collaborate with internal teams to align sourcing with promotional campaigns and customer experience goals. Manage a distributed supplier base supporting numerous store locations. Optimize logistics and distribution to minimize lead times and costs. Conduct sourcing events, evaluate suppliers, negotiate, and oversee contracts. Ensure supplier performance standards are met, especially during peak sales periods. Evaluate and select partners for digital rewards and e-commerce fulfillment. Monitor spend and savings, report KPIs to leadership. Stay updated on industry trends and create an innovation roadmap for vending capabilities, including age verification. Who We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Marketing, or related field. 5+ years in category management or strategic sourcing, preferably in retail sectors. Knowledge of retail marketing production and fulfillment cycles. Experience with loyalty programs and customer engagement tools. Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder collaboration skills. Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP, Coupa, Ariba, etc.) and data reporting. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Experience with retail chains like 7-Eleven, Military Exchanges, etc., is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience sourcing for high-volume retail networks. Knowledge of sustainability practices. Certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or CIPS.
