Role Overview
The Sr. Field Services Technician is responsible for providing work direction to field technicians responsible for onsite installation, configuration, repair, and maintenance for a variety of end-user and network devices. This role will provide L2/L3 support as required and work with service desk and desktop engineering teams to identify and remediate recurring issues. There are two open positions for this role.
Key Responsibilities Monitor technician activity across field locations, optimizing support and providing escalated technical assistance as required. Work with desktop and network engineering teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve recurring incidents. Resolve escalated service delivery issues and interact regularly with IT customers. Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and communicate results with internal teams. Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches. Oversee all onsite installation, configuration, repair, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and related software. Oversee onsite initial basic network troubleshooting, including port activation and deactivation. Complete accurate and timely updates in an Asset Management tracking system. Required Qualifications
Education:
A four-year college degree or advanced certifications (e.g., Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert or Master, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Office 365).
Experience:
Five years of related work experience. Experience in a healthcare IT environment is preferable.
Technical Skills:
Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting Windows 7 and Windows 11 operating systems. Proficient in troubleshooting Office 365. Experience with HP, Dell, Tangent, and Apple desktop/laptop hardware systems; OEM certification or at least 3 years of documented service on at least 2 hardware systems is required. Experience with Apple (iPad) and other common tablet computing devices. Knowledge of troubleshooting printers, monitors, and external hard drives. Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points. Proficiency with Excel. CompTIA A+ certification is required. A clean driving record is required. A valid Driver's License from any US State is required. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Windows 10 for re-imaging/migration. Experience with Mac OS. Basic PowerShell knowledge for single-line troubleshooting. One or more of the following certifications: CCIE, CCNA, CCNP, CCDE, CCDP, CCSP, CCVP. Strong documentation skills.
