The Sr. Director/Director, Retail Support is a pivotal role that involves supporting the senior division leadership team in identifying, organizing, and responding to complex business challenges by removing inefficiencies from processes and making it easier for our store teams to serve our customers. They are a liaison between operations, merchandising and marketing to develop and execute daily, weekly, and quarterly plans to drive sales and ensure successful execution of programs. They provide project management oversight for new stores, remodels or other capital projects for the division and take on projects that are necessary to the division’s success. They work across functional areas to coordinate and create clear lines of communication and assists the Operations Lead and Division President with long term strategic planning. What You Will Be Doing

They work across functional areas to coordinate and create clear lines of communication and assists the Operations Lead and Division President with long term strategic planning.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement and be adept at solving operational pain points. The Director of Retail Support reports to the SVP of Operations.
Main responsibilities
Oversee operational metrics and partner with division Finance and District Managers to look for opportunities to reduce costs and maximize effectiveness of operations. Create project management plans, tracking tools, and perform ad-hoc strategic analyses. Collaborate closely with the Division President and SVP/VP of Operations to develop and execute strategic initiatives. Identify areas of improvement across the organization, make actionable recommendations, and implement process enhancements. Represent the division and Company in all compliance complaints and charges related to retail integrity. Oversee the establishment of policies and procedures to ensure that company operations comply with all retail integrity-related laws and regulations. Manage and mentor a team of project management and office services staff. Lead the development of strategies and best practices across the division, and track and monitor these metrics to ensure accountability and compliance with division programs. Establish and build cross-functional relationships with corporate as well as store partners to gain feedback and align key recommendations and focus on analytics, process improvements, and problem solving. Diagnose store operations performance challenges, developing operational action plans. Provide training and reinforcement of best practices for store staff to ensure retail execution goals are met or exceeded. Works with all division office support teams to develop materials for assigned projects including projection meetings, planning sessions, town halls and other meetings. Works across all functional areas to provide oversight on new stores, remodels, and other capital projects. Handle special projects and assignments as directed by the Division President. Help to identify and tackle core problems in business processes. Provide senior leadership with insight and analysis of the company’s operations. Assist with risk assessment of new initiatives and business decisions.
What We Are Searching For
Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to track and manage multiple on-going operational projects and action items across the divisions. Ability to quickly react to an array of business reports and metrics and provide direction and guidance to staff as needed to maximize support and services for retail. Solid knowledge of interpreting and reviewing financial information, P & L statements and how programs can impact revenue and expense line items. Effectively communicates to all levels of the organization using diplomacy and persuasive skills. Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet time sensitive deadlines. Strong project/time management skills with proven success leading and managing multiple projects end to end. Courage to make tough decisions and have candid, constructive and at times difficult conversations with professionalism. Proven experience in managing teams includes ability to provide direction, understand resource capability and successfully drive results working with direct reports, dotted line and/or internal or external resources. Has an entrepreneurial mindset and is resourceful and innovative, always questioning if there is a better, simpler way to do something. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage ambiguity – dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place, and potentially with conflicting priorities and/or perspectives. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite- Outlook, TEAMS, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
10+ years retail operations experience including; regulatory compliance, project management. 5+ years high level retail operations, or equivalent experience, such as a District Manager 5+ years people management experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred. Experience leading collaboration with both front and back of house teams and cross company teams. Availability to occasionally work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional travel across the division (~25%).
