The Sr. Director of Retail Technology - Customer Applications will work across various business units to design, implement, and support business technology solutions that continuously enhance Vistra's capabilities of acquiring, servicing, and retaining customers.
Job Summary
The Sr. Director of Retail Technology - Customer Applications will work across various business units to design, implement, and support business technology solutions that continuously enhance Vistra's capabilities of acquiring, servicing, and retaining customers.
Formulate a long-term strategic plan and business capabilities roadmap that aligns with Vistra Retail's strategies and objectives.
Be a business technology thought-leader; identify and deliver incremental business through new/enhanced business technology.
Responsibilities Continuously collaborate with business and technology agile teams to ensure business prioritization; drive teams and other leaders to deliver solutions consistent with the long-term strategy and roadmap
Manage and deliver secure, reliable, efficient, and effective business technology services
Drive toward future-state architecture principles: loosely-coupled services/micro-services, cloud architecture/SaaS when appropriate, scalable, secure, and cost effective
Develop high performing team members capable of growing the business and delivering strategic initiatives
Develop, maintain, and actively communicate a multi-year plan (3+ years) with discrete, tangible, and achievable objectives
Serve as point of contact for technology partners/vendors; maintain professional relationships with key vendors, and drive negotiations where required
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements Bachelor's degree with 10 or more years of relevant business experience with at least 15 years specific to systems planning, design, and implementation
Proven management and leadership skills for large, enterprise-wide initiatives
Superior collaboration, communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
Key Metrics Customer Satisfaction - Call Centers and Web/Mobile
Project Delivery - Defined defect rates, on budget delivery of project, on schedule delivery of project, business satisfaction score with project delivery (to business requirements and outcomes)
Operations / Systems Availability - % Systems Availability as defined by standard practice
Recruiting - Ability to recruit and on-board the right resources in timely manner
