As a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Retail Ops , you'll collaborate with Digital teams, bridging the gap between business and technology throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring a compelling digital experience for our retail Customers, or help arm H-E-B Partners with world-class business applications to thrive in their jobs.

We are looking for:

You have 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role supporting product delivery You have a deep understanding of the SDLC, with hands-on experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and driving QA/UAT You have excellent understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and experience applying them to guide initiatives from inception through successful delivery You have a track record of thriving in ambiguity, breaking down loosely defined problems into clear requirements and actionable plans You have exceptional communication skills, capable of building trust with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders-both verbally and in writing You have relentless organizational methods, proven in how you track tasks, manage competing priorities, and build alignment You have a curious, self-starter mindset, eager to dive into new systems and document insights for the team You have an outcome-oriented approach, measuring success by the value delivered rather than just completed tasks You have a collaborative sprit, actively seeking feedback, mentoring peers, and elevating the collective quality of our work What is the work? Partner with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to elicit and define requirements for our digital store tools Translate ambiguous requests into clear user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria Facilitate discovery meetings and stakeholder working sessions to align on scope, priority, and success metrics Own backlog grooming and sprint planning inputs to ensure engineering has a prioritized, well-defined pipeline Develop and execute test plans (UAT/QA), triage defects, and coordinate fixes through to production validation Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, propose enhancements, and measure post-launch impact with data-driven insights Maintain up-to-date documentation including process flows, decision logs, and training materials to support ongoing tool adoption Serve as the primary liaison between engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders ensuring feedback loops and continuous improvement Testing / Quality Assurance: Develops end-to-end quality strategy for assigned product and ensuring alignment with project objectives and consistency in execution. Creates non-functional test cases that will ensure all requirements / user stories are validated with system testing. Develops functional test cases to ensure software functionality meets specified requirements. Focuses on detailed test case creation for individual features, contributing to the overall quality assurance process. Develops and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet requirements. Also manages defect resolution with the developers and communication with the business. Works with testing tools and / or frameworks to create automated testing suites for one or more systems, demonstrating proficiency and the ability to contribute effectively to the testing process. Technology / Data: Serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical developers; documents easy to understand requirements that are also actionable. Engages with developers to ensure requirements are understood; helps gather stakeholder input during requirements refining and grooming. Contributes and influences solution definition and recommends best course of action. Has command over automated systems to analyze business problems. Configures system settings and options to optimize performance and functionality according to project requirements. Engages with engineers in debugging / troubleshooting issues involving data or the accuracy of data, in day-to-day work and production support scenarios. Proficient in data and functionality of multiple systems across the department, understanding the integration points and data flows between them. Understand data mapping between systems and oversee projects that involve data integrations. Also, familiar with integration technologies Has thorough understanding of using data queries, query tools etc. and understands how it flows end-to-end for a product or group of closely aligned product(s) What is your background? A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience 5+ years of experience Experience in business analysis or technology Experience supporting relevant business area preferred (i.e. retail, supply chain/logistics, ecommerce, or digital marketing ops) Experience supporting full-stack web applications at scale Experience working with Salesforce or other CRMs Do you have what it takes to be an H-E-B Senior Business Systems Analyst?
