A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a public school setting in San Francisco, CA, providing essential services to support student communication needs. This contract role focuses on Pre-K intake assessments and FMLA coverage, offering an onsite work environment with a full-time schedule through June 3, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Pre-K intake assessments to identify student speech and language needs.
- Provide FMLA coverage for an existing SLP at Ortega Elementary for the remainder of the school year.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support individualized student goals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and state regulations.
- Deliver professional and culturally responsive services, with preference for candidates fluent in ASL and/or bilingual.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license from the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
- Clear/Professional Speech Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is preferred but not required.
- Candidates must be fully credentialed; Conditional Fellows (CFs) are not eligible for this role.
- Prior experience conducting Pre-K assessments in a school setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual skills or proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) are highly desirable.
Location: On-site work in San Francisco, California.
