About the Role:

The SNF Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the Skilled Nursing Facility at Sage Park Austin - PNH, 0026. This position ensures that all resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces meet rigorous cleanliness standards to promote the health and well-being of residents and staff. The housekeeper will work closely with the care team to support infection control protocols and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to prevent the spread of illness and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, preferably in a healthcare or social assistance setting.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions related to cleaning protocols and safety standards.
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in housekeeping or environmental services from a recognized institution.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Follow infection control procedures to minimize the risk of contamination and ensure resident safety.
  • Collaborate with nursing and support staff to accommodate resident needs and maintain a respectful environment.
