A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available on a contract basis in San Francisco, CA, supporting a public school district on-site. This opportunity involves two positions focused on providing specialized speech services with a caseload emphasizing Pre-K intake assessments and FMLA coverage at an elementary school. Candidates must have a current Speech Language Pathologist license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) in California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Pre-K intake assessments (Note: Candidates in their Clinical Fellowship (CF) year are not eligible for this role).
- Provide FMLA coverage for an existing SLP at an elementary school for the remainder of the academic year.
- Deliver speech-language services consistent with district guidelines.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support student communication development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license from DCA.
- Educator credential preferred but not required.
- Clear or Professional Speech Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is beneficial.
- Preference for candidates fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual.
- Experience working with Pre-K populations in school settings preferred.
Location and Work Schedule:
- On-site work required in San Francisco, CA.
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
- Contract duration: Immediate start through June 3, 2026.
