The purpose of the Manager II (MGRII) position is to assist Branch management in executing complex restaurant operations, such as QSR or Casual Dine. The MGRII ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operates to high standards, using prescribed policies and procedures to make management decisions. Essential Functions: Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures/checklists per company policies. Assist the GM/AGM in supervising day-to-day activities of associates within one or more restaurant locations. Ensure compliance with all company adult beverage policies and that staff follow AB procedures. Participate in hiring processes, provide input on employment decisions, and recommend promotions or terminations. Assign tasks, prepare schedules, and ensure shift coverage. Ensure associates take mandated rest and meal breaks. Maintain clean, stocked, and visually appealing display areas. Ensure equipment is in good working order. Operate cash register, handle transactions securely, and follow cash handling policies. Monitor and report safety and wellness compliance, and promote safety awareness. Perform health and safety activities as outlined in the Manager’s Guide. Place orders, receive goods, and process invoices. Keep contact information for all associates current. Requirements: Ability to work various shifts, including opening, busy periods, and closing. Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation standards, including HACCP. Reporting and Schedule: The position is Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Typically reports to the General Manager, Director of Operations, or a Multi-Unit Manager. Requires a rotating schedule covering various days and hours, including openings and closings. Minimum Qualifications: At least 4 years of food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience. At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a casual dining restaurant or kitchen. Must be able to speak, read, and understand instructions and policies, and communicate effectively with customers.
