Shawarma Line Cook

Emish Market, located in Fife, WA, is a Ukrainian grocery store offering a wide variety of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. Alongside our store, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, serving freshly made Ukrainian dishes, sweet pastries, and specialty meats. Our mission is to provide a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.

We're currently looking for a skilled and dependable Shawarma Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has at least a year of experience cooking experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting, works well under pressure, and ideally has knowledge of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare, season, and cook shawarma and other menu items according to recipes and portion standards
• Operate the shawarma station, slicing and assembling orders for service
• Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and stored following safety and sanitation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
• Monitor stock levels, rotate inventory, and assist with ordering supplies

Work Schedule: 2pm to 10:30pm Friday through Tuesday

Pay Range: $18-$22/hour depending on experience + tips.

• 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked
• Extra $2/hour for Sunday shifts

Qualification Requirements:

• 2+ years of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
• Experience cooking shawarma or similar dishes is preferred
• Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen equipment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and teamwork
• Reliability and punctuality
