Service Manager – C. A. Russell Ford of Springville | Full-Time
Location:  Springville, AL Schedule: Full-time | On-site | Monday–Saturday availability required
C. A. Russell Ford of Springville is seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead one of our service departments. This is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing daily service operations, managing personnel, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring financial performance targets are achieved.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of dealership fixed operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day service department operations, including workflow, dispatching, and technician productivity
Lead and manage a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff
Monitor and improve key performance metrics (ELR, CP sales, hours per RO, CSI, etc.)
Ensure timely and accurate customer communication and exceptional service experience
Maintain manufacturer and dealership compliance standards
Handle customer escalations and resolve concerns professionally
Collaborate with parts, sales, and upper management to ensure seamless interdepartmental operations
Monitor service scheduling, capacity planning, and technician efficiency
Hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff performance
Requirements:
3+ years of service management or senior advisor experience in a dealership environment
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Proven track record in fixed ops performance and customer satisfaction
Proficiency with DMS and service scheduling systems (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Xtime)
Deep understanding of warranty processing and manufacturer guidelines
Ability to manage high work volume in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturer training certifications (Ford, CDJR, etc.)
Experience in both Quick Lane and main service shop operations
Familiarity with KPI tracking and reporting
