RATE OF PAY:

• The starting base rate of pay is $14.50 - $18.64 per hour, based on previous experiences and qualifications.
  

WORK SCHEDULE:

The schedule is typically published a couple of weeks in advance, based upon staffing needs

• 5:30 am - 2:00 pm, 4 days per week (Monday-Friday) and every other weekend (Saturday-Sunday)
• 80 hours per pay period

As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination(s) or provide proof of prior COVID-19 vaccination(s) before the date of hire.

• High school graduate or hold GED equivalent preferred but not required.
• Position requires long hours standing with the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the basics of the English language and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Possess basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations.
• Available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
• Willingness to cross-train in various job duties within VMRC Dining Services.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, coworkers, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner.
