Job Summary
As a Busser, you’ll work closely with the food and beverage team to support all aspects of table service, from setting and clearing tables to delivering water and bread and helping maintain a clean, organized dining space. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clear dirty table settings quickly and prepare tables for resetting. Promptly reset all service ware according to standards.
Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready to receive guests.
Serve guests with water, bread, and butter to begin their dining experience. Replenish as needed and assist with guest requests throughout service.
Help servers by delivering food trays, pre-bussing tables, and refilling beverages.
Maintain stock and cleanliness of service stations throughout each shift, ensuring silverware, linen, and condiments are readily available.
Fold napkins, roll silverware, and prepare items for future meal periods.
Transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area and handle glassware with care.
Perform general cleaning tasks and respond to guest spills or special cleaning requests using hotel cleaning products and safety protocols.
Support a safe, sanitary dining environment by following health and cleanliness standards.
Adhere to all safety and security procedures and company policies.
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times.
Turn in lost and found items and report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
Assist other restaurant team members when needed and complete any other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette and table settings preferred.
Must have or be in the process of obtaining a current Food Handler Card.
Ability to understand and follow basic English instructions.
Knowledge of liquor laws and how to recognize and avoid serving to minors or intoxicated guests (when assisting with alcohol service).
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to push or move loads up to pounds on a hand cart or truck.
Constant walking and standing throughout the shift.
Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, and smiling.
