About The Local

The Local is a New American tavern in South Austin , serving elevated tavern food and drink with seasonal, scratch-made menus. We are a neighborhood spot built on genuine hospitality, and we re looking for energetic, team-oriented Server Assistants / Food Runners to support our lunch/brunch front-of-house team and help deliver an outstanding dining experience.

What You'll Do Run food and drinks from the scratch kitchen and bar to guests with accuracy and care

Support servers by refilling waters, clearing tables, resetting, and keeping the dining room flowing

Communicate with the team to ensure dishes are presented correctly and promptly

Maintain cleanliness, polish and organization in the service stations and dining areas

Jump in wherever needed to keep service smooth and guests happy

What We re Looking For A positive, team-first attitude and strong work ethic

Ability to move quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Good communication skills with both FOH and BOH staff

Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.
