Job Description
The Senior Vice President, Planning manages the planning portfolio for one of Starcom's retail clients, inclusive of its Retail Media Network (RMN) and Brand Marketing initiatives. This SVP is a retail-minded strategic leader who contributes to strategy, builds solid relationships with clients across all levels and functions, and can manage, lead, and develop their internal planning team while also playing an active "hands-on" role in the deployment of strategic plans across the full paid, owned, earned spectrum. The SVP should also be fiscally accountable for ensuring proper budget management and identifying upside revenue potential for the agency.
Responsibilities
Responsible for developing, implementing, and driving strategy to deliver on short- and longer-term goals (e.g., traffic, return on investment, customer count, 1P audience growth, and brand metrics)
Support the spectrum of the client's media initiatives, including vendor-centric, endemic and non-endemic and audience-led RMN omnichannel planning
Actively listen to Clients and continually find opportunities to lead thinking
Team leader for Client interaction fostering positive relationships
Evaluates composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience and deliver on traffic and performance goals
Effectively communicates and solicits agreement of best opportunities for Client
Ensure the quality of work for all Client deliverables
Supervising, training, and developing staff (managing workload, delegating, and managing projects and resources, performance management)
Develop process improvements and standard methodologies to ensure consistency, flexibility, and efficiency resulting in solutions that meet or exceed Client expectations
Ability to cross sell interagency products and services
Collaborate with business intelligence/analytics, data and investment teams to ensure strategic plans are powered by campaign performance data + insight and marketplace opportunity
Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably with a concentration in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights
10+ years of relevant experience with progressive levels of responsibility and discernment in marketing and communications and team management
Demonstrated ability to generate 1P audience strategies that can be translated into effective media activation
Familiarity with Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) and/or loyalty and membership initiatives
Proven experience and success in presenting plans to Client and influencing top level Client decisions
Demonstrated critical thinking skill and strong problem-solving skills - navigates effectively through difficult issues, builds required consensus to drive business needs and results
Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills - effectively presents formal POV internally and externally
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and quantitative/analytical skills
Strong Client presentation skills and business writing skills
Displayed skill in planning and managing client interactions
Detail oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Critical assessor of talent - builds and motivates successful teams
Able to direct long range planning and the development of programs to enhance organizational resources
Design and manage projects, resources, partners, participants, and deadlines

The benefits offerings listed are available to U.S. based employees, are reviewed on an annual basis, and are governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.
Compensation Range: $176,700 - $263,655 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
