Role Summary
Join us in shaping the future of PerfectGift's presence in shopping malls and retail locations nationwide. In this role, you will blend financial modeling, retail merchandising, and strategic business planning to fuel program growth, boost profitability, and ensure smooth, compliant operations. You will work across teams to bring innovative ideas to life, expand our retail network, and create standout customer experiencesall while driving measurable impact in a fast-moving, results-oriented environment. This is a 5-day onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models for gift card revenue, costs and EBITDA projections, weekly cash flow projections, balance of year projections, annual operating plan projection, five-year projections, initial startup costs and timing, unit-level planning and profitability analysis, "capture" rates vs. host retailer, ongoing and future, inventory levels, sales forecasts, profitability projections (including breakage estimates), cost allocations and redemption patterns, and weekly and reporting requirements as directed.
- Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to inform pricing strategies and program features in support of perfectgift.com at retail locations
- Collaborate with finance, operations, marketing, software development, fulfillment and IT teams to integrate gift card systems into existing point-of-sale infrastructure.
- Prepare business cases, budgets, and variance analyses to track program performance and recommend adjustments.
- Monitor regulatory requirements related to gift cards at physical retail locations, such as escheatment and consumer protection laws, sales tax implications and incorporate them into planning.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) post-rollout, including sales uplift, customer acquisition costs, and return on investment.
- Create monthly reporting in compliance with agreement with all relevant partners.

- 95%+ on time delivery of product & materials across the retail network
- Growth expansion plan targeting 25%+ increase in distribution locations through existing & future partners
- Forecasting of inventory needs per retail location targeting 85%+ accuracy
- Ensure 95%+ of in-stock inventory in retail locations, especially during our peak selling season
- Yearly budget planning and not exceeding the agreed upon G&A expense budget
- Travel upwards of 50% of the time to visit partners, retail locations, tradeshows, and prospects
Qualification
- Retail Merchandising experience including product placement, inventory management, display creation & understanding of the consumer buying habits.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration; MBA or professional certification preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software tools such as Excel, ERP systems, point of sales systems and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
- Minimum 5 years in FP&A or business planning roles, ideally within retail or consumer goods sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in product launch or program rollout initiatives, with a focus on financial implications.
- Familiarity with retail operations in shopping malls and gift card programs is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of financial regulations pertinent to gift cards and retail finance.
