Reports To: Project Executive Location: Los Angeles, California or San Francisco/Bay Area Salary Range: $167,000 to $208,000 This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The Commercial Team Our project management teams, in-house engineering resources and skilled field staff collaborate to deliver commercial projects that are innovative and client-focused. The Role Role purpose: Manage projects and project teams from qualification through estimate, pre-construction, mobilization, execution, and closeout. In collaboration with the Superintendent and field team, ensure all project and contractual requirements are met safely, professionally, and within budgets and timeframes. Lead in defining team roles, structure, and communication expectations to support efficient work and progression. Scope: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance within established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures affecting the immediate organization(s). Complexity: Works on issues of diverse scope requiring analysis of multiple factors, including current business trends. Follows processes and policies to obtain solutions. Advises subordinates to meet schedules and resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities. Discretion: Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results can impact costs and short-term goals of the organization. Interaction: Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and functional peers; leads cooperative efforts among project team members. Supervision: Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of activities of a section or department with responsibility for results including costs, methods and staffing. May be responsible for a functional area without direct reporting staff. About You You have notable experience managing people and projects within the commercial, utility, alternative energy, or data center markets. You possess dynamic leadership and management skills to influence and drive positive outcomes. Developing and growing your team members is important alongside managing the planning, execution, and financial performance of projects. You bring a breadth of technical knowledge in estimating, project cost accounting, scheduling, procurement, productivity tracking, and reporting methods to profitably complete electrical construction projects. Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred. Licensure/Certifications: None required. Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; At least five (5) years of Project Manager level experience in electrical construction or related activities in a leadership role and managing projects. 2 years of managing professional staff. Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
