 We are seeking a new part-time or full-time College Coach to join our remote team. The ideal candidate is an expert in navigating the college admissions process for students with learning differences (LDs) . This role is a perfect fit for a compassionate and knowledgeable professional who can serve as an authority on LDs, not only to students but also to their parents. Our Coaches work with a diverse student population, including many with co-occurring learning differences and mental health components. Experience and deep understanding of common LDs such as ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and Autism , as well as associated mental health challenges like anxiety and depression, are essential.
We call our college counselors Coaches because we believe in a positive growth model for student development. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience in college counseling and/or college admissions, with tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching a plus!
Job Summary ESM Prep | College MatchPoint ​​​​​is seeking a Senior College Coach to build meaningful relationships with students, help them to successfully navigate high school, and guide them effectively and compassionately through all aspects of the college application process. This includes navigating the Common App, UT App, UC App, and more; discussing SAT/ACT testing paths; helping students build well-rounded college lists; supporting students in the development of their college essays; managing the academic and extracurricular decisions throughout their high school journey; and most importantly, providing thoughtful mentorship that ensures their social and emotional wellbeing. Our Coaches work together extensively as a tight-knit team, collaborating on best practices and the best ways to facilitate student success.

Work Location: Remote Work Hours: Your work hours will be flexible depending on your students' needs and availability, but they will primarily consist of weekday (Monday - Thursday) afternoons/evenings and some weekends (typically Sunday afternoons), and mostly in Central and Pacific time zones Job Requirements Bachelor's degree 3+ years of direct experience in college consulting or college admissions counseling, with a strong focus on supporting students with learning differences. Demonstrated expertise in the definitions, symptoms, and educational impacts of common learning differences, including severe ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and Autism. Advanced understanding of the modern college search and application process, ideally  including first-hand experience with the Common Application, University of Texas Application, and University of California Application Dynamic coaching personality and ability to build relationships with students, parents, and coworkers from all walks of life Desire to mentor students over the course of multiple years Capacity for guiding parents through challenging decisions Collaborative spirit, a willingness and ability to work with a team to reach goals together Excellent verbal and written communication with your counseling students and parents through proactive outreach, regular updates, and quick responses Reliable internet access (fast enough for video conferencing) Compensation/Benefits: Compensation: Total compensation for the first year is projected to be between $82,000 - $88,000. Significant growth potential beyond this range exists for year two and beyond.
