Senior Pharmacy Technician - Ambulatory Treatment Center - Retail - 12:30p Job Specific Competencies 1. Inventory Management a. Reviews and monitors par levels b. Reconciles inventory counts in appropriate systems c. Properly manages vial inventory (e.g. lot management access) d. Ordering/receiving medications and supplies e. Tech-Check-Tech certified (per area) f. Accurately and efficiently completes cycle counts and inventory audits g. Troubleshoots, reports, and follows-up with medication storage devices (e.g. refrigerators) h. Resolves controlled access cabinet discrepancy reports i. Reviews and addresses recall notification requests 2. Area Maintenance a. Equipment maintenance (e.g. balances, printers, computers, scanners) b. Process review and document updates (e.g. SOPs, competencies) c. CADD pump and supply management d. Alaris pump preventative maintenance and library update management e. Monitors and reconciles inventory systems reports (e.g. medication outdates) Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education: Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program. Certification: Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP), with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Preferred Certification: ACPE Sterile Products Certification Experience: One-year experience at M. D. Anderson as a Pharmacy Technician or three years as a Pharmacy Technician in a comparable institutional setting. Preferred Experience: IV sterile preparation experience, ACPE IV Sterile Products Competency Onsite Presence: This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
