Position Summary:
TCL North America is looking for a strategic and technically adept Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead the development and lifecycle management of our TV and soundbar product lines. This role is pivotal in shaping product strategy, partnering with global development teams, and aligning cross-functional efforts to deliver exceptional home entertainment experiences tailored to the North American market.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of deep industry expertise, consumer-focused insight, and strong project leadership. As the voice of the customer, you will drive innovation and product excellence while enabling our sales and marketing teams to grow the brand and strengthen our position as a market leader.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Sales & Market Analysis
- Review weekly sell-out (SO) and market share performance.
- Recommend updates to marketing strategies, go-to-market (GTM) plans, and pricing roadmaps.
- Track SO, finished goods inventory (FGI), and competitive intelligence (CI) vs. targets.
- Monitor weekly shifts in industry share and competitive retail positioning.
Product Messaging & Communication
- Support the VP in refining and aligning product messaging.
- Lead weekly briefings and ensure messaging clarity across GTM, marketing, and training teams.
- Review all product-related marketing materials for pricing accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness.
Marketing Execution
- Ensure in-store fixtures and training materials reflect timely, consistent messaging.
- Drive adherence to approved product and pricing plans across online and retail channels.
- Monitor performance to support weekly SO goals.
Copywriting & Content
- Write monthly marketing updates outlining key selling points (KSPs), model info, and industry trends.
- Create compelling, consumer-facing copy tailored to the U.S. market.
Creative & Product Support
- Submit trademark requests and manage asset needs (logos, icons, graphics).
- Keep product information up to date on the TCL website.
- Oversee creation of point-of-purchase (POP) materials and video content.
Event Support
- Contribute to planning and participate in industry or customer events as needed.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 7-10 years of product marketing experience, with at least 5 years in consumer electronics-ideally in TV, soundbar, or adjacent categories.
- Demonstrated success managing complex product lifecycles from concept to launch.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong knowledge of home theater technologies, consumer behaviors, and the competitive landscape.
- Experience working with global teams and managing cross-cultural partnerships.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support global coordination and partner engagement.
Working Conditions:
- This is an on-site position in Irvine, CA.
- Typical office environment with occasional travel.
- Potential for on-call duties and after-hours support.
Cognitive and Physical Demands:
- Daily/majority of the day: sitting, computer work, keyboarding, typing, wrist flexing/extension, and other repetitive movements.
- Daily/consistent: use of professional judgment in alignment with company values and policies.
- Frequently: learning new software applications and recalling important processes.
- Occasionally: kneeling, standing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and lifting (up to 20 pounds).
