JOB SUMMARY The Senior Director, Retail Marketing, will lead marketing strategy and execution for Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques, Marriott’s retail business with products marketed under Marriott’s hotel brands and the Marriott Bonvoy brand, notably products like the Westin Heavenly Bed, Ritz-Carlton hotel sheets, and EDITION fragrance. This person will be responsible for overseeing marketing for multi-channel online retail, working closely with other leaders aligned to this department; other Analytics, Brand, Marketing, and PR teams within Marriott; and external business partners and agencies. This person will manage marketing-focused professionals within the retail team, coordinate with resources on other teams, and oversee agency relationships to ensure execution is on strategy, on time, and on budget, while delivering against marketing, revenue, and growth goals. As marketing leader, this person should understand how to optimize full funnel performance, working with paid and owned channels to drive revenue. The role will share in the responsibility for KPIs and P&L metrics related to both brand and revenue growth, leveraging internal teams and external agencies to optimize performance. As a brand marketing leader, this person must acutely understand our different customers and customer journeys and optimize a personalized shopping experience that resonates. This person will work closely with Marriott Bonvoy brand and hotel brand leadership to ensure that retail effectively ladders up to company goals. The ideal candidate has deep experience leading a high-performing, performance marketing team, is comfortable leading analyses and developing bottoms-up marketing plans, enjoys shaping new business opportunities, and brings a well-rounded perspective to strategic discussions derived from experience with owned channels and third-party channel growth tactics. This entrepreneurial role is an opportunity for an ambitious marketing leader to play a significant part in scaling a retail business within the world’s leading hospitality company. Key focus areas will include the following: Research & Analysis: analyzing performance and delivering data-driven insights; Marketing Strategy: delivering marketing and promotion strategy including multi-channel activation, messaging, and budget; Marketing Execution: maintain marketing calendar and budget, supervise content creation; Agency Management: manage one or more agencies overseeing the website, branded content, and media pull-through; Forecasting and reporting results: providing product level forecasts and results reporting on an ongoing basis; Manage website user experience to ensure that it lines up to marketing goals. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Required: College degree. 10+ years’ experience in online marketing demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance Experience leading a business / product with responsibility of key KPIs such as P&L, customer acquisition/engagement, etc. Experience in home goods, durable goods, or retail, preferably in the luxury space. Leads by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm. The salary range for this position is $141,600 to $218,800 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
