Senior Data Scientist CVS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing team and revolutionize our e-commerce search experience. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative Neural Networks, kNN, natural language processing (NLP), learn-to-rank (LTR) solutions to power our search engine, ensuring our customers find the products they need quickly and efficiently. What You Will Do Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to improve search relevance, ranking, and personalization Analyze large-scale user interaction data to identify opportunities for improving search performance Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML models into production search systems using Elasticsearch Conduct A/B testing and performance evaluation of search algorithms and features Develop NLP and deep learning models to enhance query understanding, product categorization, and semantic search Drive innovation in AI-powered search features such as autocomplete, spell correction, and recommendation systems Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices in data science and ML engineering Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience of Data Engineering experience with a preference of at least 2 of those years working in a Data Scientist capacity 2+ years developing and implementing Neural Networks, kNN, natural language processing (NLP), learn-to-rank (LTR) solutions in a production environment Deep understanding of various LTR algorithms, including LambdaMART, RankNet, and LightGBM. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch Experience working with large datasets and developing scalable data pipelines Experience with A/B testing and data analysis for measuring model performance Preferred Qualifications Experience with eCommerce platforms and user behavior modeling Familiarity with LLMs and generative AI applications in search Passion for e-commerce and a deep understanding of user behavior Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment pipelines Contributions to open-source search or ML projects Excellent communication and collaboration skills Education Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) Business Overview Bring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $83,430.00 - $222,480.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
