As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in access control at a major distribution center within the retail environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, checking badges, and verifying credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry. You will conduct routine patrols throughout assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat10:00 AM - 10:00 PMSun10:00 AM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Monitor and manage access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and report any irregularities. Assist visitors, employees and/or contractors with access-related questions and provide guidance as needed. Document and report security-related incidents, observations and/or unusual activities according to site procedures. Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants within the retail distribution center. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
