As a Security Officer - Retail Center Patrol - Full Time  in Rockville, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a retail or mall location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the property using a company vehicle as required. You will be the first point of contact for those in need of assistance, responding to incidents and communicating clearly with both the public and your team. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.65 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues. Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns within the location. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site-specific policies. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters. Support emergency response efforts as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal protocols. Driving posts are preferred. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
