Job Description

As a Security Guard - Retail Site - Full Time in City Of Industry, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment at a dynamic retail or mall location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a strong presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting visitors, tenants, and staff with professionalism and courtesy. In this primarily driving post, you will navigate the site to monitor for suspicious activity, respond to calls for service, and provide clear and friendly communication to all those you encounter. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and directing visitors as needed.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding incidents or concerns.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, following established protocols for the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
