Security & Fire Alarm Service Technicians

This company has 2 similar but different positions in the Nashville area for low voltage electronics troubleshooters and repairers. They are both local travel Field Service roles where you will have a company vehicle to take home each night. It is rare that you would have any overnight projects so you will be sleeping home almost always.
One is a Security Service Technician and in this role you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communication systems, equipment like Access Control, VoIP, data networks, CCTV, and sound systems. For this role, if you have any experience with these types of systems, you would be a stronger fit.
The second role is a Fire Alarm technician role and you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, servicing and maintenance of electrical fire alarm systems. If you have any Fire Alarm or a NICET certification you would be a stronger fit for this role.
For either role, the Technician is responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. The technician is also responsible for communicating system performance to the customer, so strong customer service and communication skills are very important in this role.
Having experience with the operation of Volt Meters, Ohm Meters, Multimeters, and Impedance Meters is important for either role.
Requirements

5. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
6. Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
7. Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
8. Must be able to handle stressful situations effectively.
9. Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation, including reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittas, specifications and schematics.
10. Valid and current drivers license.
