POSITION SUMMARY: As a Retail Lead, you will support the Retail Supervisor in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales, managing inventory, and displaying products according to Deer Valley's standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure store opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and on time. Promote continuous improvement by clearly communicating staff expectations and demonstrating Deer Valley initiatives. Provide sales associates with technical support, exceptional customer service, and guidance on policies and procedures. Monitor and respond to retail emails throughout the day. Maintain stock levels by executing daily restocking and managing backroom storage effectively. Conduct inventory control, including managing theft, damages, transfers, and receiving merchandise shipments. Communicate efficiently with the Retail Management Team and the Distribution Center. Ensure the store remains visually appealing and meets Deer Valley's standards. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Previous retail experience is preferred. Experience in driving sales, analyzing reporting data, and retail merchandising is preferred. Experience in the ski industry is a plus but not required. Basic proficiency with technology (Point of Sale system, Microsoft Office, Teams). Commitment to providing outstanding customer service that exemplifies the Deer Valley Difference. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Ability to quickly resolve problems and analyze issues. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, reacting quickly and professionally. Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with superb organizational abilities. Availability to work a Seasonal, Full-Time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays (Christmas, New Year's, and President's Day). Must be available for shifts on Saturdays or Sundays. Physical demands include continuous mobility, twisting, bending, and lifting (25+ lbs). Must be able to use a ladder.
