Seasonal Offsite Part Time Sales Associate Role Profile Position Summary The Seasonal Offsite Part Time Sales Associate role is a non-exempt part time role reporting to the Manager of Strategic Initiatives. The Seasonal Offsite Part Time sales associate must align with our core values and provide great Co-op Land customer service to all our guests. In addition to providing great customer service, the Seasonal Offsite Part-Time sales associate is responsible for maintaining offsite events merchandising standards and cleanliness as well as efficiently and effectively executing all operational tasks during set up, selling, and tear down. Key Competencies for Success: Customer Focus Collaborating with others Attention to Detail Initiative Adaptability Merchandising and Retailing Continuous Learning Problem Solving Key Accountabilities & Achievements: Customer Service Welcome, greet and support customers throughout their shopping experience. Lead customers to the products. Make recommendations to customers. Inform customers about our Not-for-Profit status and course material scholarship initiative. Event Set up and Recovery Unload, place, and set up fixtures and merchandise. Set product to event merchandising standards. Maintain operational event space during set hours. Tear down and pack up fixtures and merchandise to deliver back to the main store. Knowledge, Abilities & Experience for Success: High School Diploma or GED is required. Communication skills Customer-focused mind-set to provide outstanding customer service to all guests. Ability to multitask and pivot during lively business events to ensure a great shopping experience. Retail technology savvy. Passionate about the University of Texas Physical Demands: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, in accordance with company policy. Must maintain an acceptable driving record for company-related travel and transportation of goods or personnel. Ability to operate a company vehicle safely, with a valid driver's license and no major traffic violations Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Continuous sitting, standing, walking, using stairs, hearing, talking, bending, crouching, and working closely with others. Exerting up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds via dolly) of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work Environment: Ability to work flexible hours with variable schedules from week-to-week that may include early mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Will work with outdoor elements and high temperatures.
