Join Bread Alone Bakery in Boiceville, NY as a Seasonal Bread or Pastry Baker. Get hands-on experience making our full range of breads and pastries with competitive pay, benefits, and the chance to grow your craft alongside an expert team.
Wage: $18.50–$24.00/hour (higher pay possible for highly skilled bakers)
Location: Boiceville, NY
Schedule: Seasonal, Full-time (September 1 – January 5 | There will be opportunities for this to turn into either a full time or part time position based on business needs as long as you are in good standing throughout your seasonal status). Production hours run 6:00 am – 10:30 pm. Individual schedules vary by role, with common shifts including:
- Morning shift: 7am-3:30pm
- Afternoon shift: 2pm-10:30pm
- Additional shifts may be available

Depending on your role, you will support our bread, pastry, or evening production teams:
Seasonal Pastry Baker (7am-3:30pm)
- Mix, laminate, and shape croissants, danishes, and other viennoiserie
- Prepare pastries for our cafés, cold cases, and packaged goods
- Bake and finish retail-ready pastries with care
Seasonal Bread Baker (7am - 3:30pm)
- Mix, shape, proof, and bake sourdoughs, baguettes, rolls, and other daily breads
- Work with regional grains and natural leavening
- Maintain high standards of quality in every loaf
Seasonal PM Baker (2pm-10:30pm)
- Proof, load, score, and bake breads during evening shifts
- Bake croissants and other pastries for the next day
- Pack breads and pastries for delivery to our cafés and markets
Seasonal PM Packer (5pm-10:30pm)
- Finishing pastries to specifications (glazing, topping, coating, etc)
- Pack breads and pastries for delivery to our cafés and markets
- Some prior baking or kitchen experience is helpful, but a love of good food and a willingness to learn are most important
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment (standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, working in hot or cold conditions)
- Able to communicate clearly and work well with a team
- Flexible and able to work a consistent seasonal schedule, including holidays and weekends
- Respect for food safety and cleanliness standards (personal hygiene, no jewelry or false nails, minimal makeup or fragrance)
