Requirements / Qualifications **Applicants with a School Bus Driver Certificate who would like to upgrade must include the California Special Driver Certificate and Medical Certificate. Note: Individuals selected for the Bus Driver Trainee Program must pass a background check, pre-employment physical and DOT (Department of Transportation) drug screen. Also, this is a safety-sensitive position; trainees will be subject to random selection for alcohol and controlled substance testing. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS One year of experience in the operation of a motor vehicle. EDUCATION: Verification of a High School diploma, a GED certificate, or a higher degree will be required at time of hire.
