Title of Role: Sanitation Technician

East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Sanitation Technician to join our Sanitation and Quality Team!

The Sanitation Technician will support production areas by sanitizing equipment and cleaning production rooms as well as general janitorial responsibilities throughout the facility.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:

General Janitorial

• Clean all common areas including break rooms, restrooms, and pedestrian traffic areas.
• Clean all office areas, QC, receiving, sample booth, and QA/R&D labs.
• Report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions immediately to supervisor on duty.
• Maintain daily reports and records as assigned.
• Daily MSS tasks as assigned

Industrial Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize all production areas, including Blending, Manufacturing, Tote and Conveyor areas.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) as well as individual personal hygiene practices always.
• Supply production team with chemicals and cleaning tools as needed.
• Assist production as needed.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. as needed to support sanitation responsibilities.
• Document cleaning and sanitizing chemical concentrations.

Material Handling

• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklift and scissor lifts in order to move product to reach hard to clean areas and maintain sanitation standards.

WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:

• One year of experience in sanitation, preferably in food manufacturing facility.
• Current GMP
