The Butchery is looking for a friendly and motivated individual to join our team in Stowe, VT.

We are looking for a new team member to help cut meat and fish, prepare foods for the deli menu & the prepared food cases. As well as assisting in greeting guest, selling and stocking products , maintaning a cleanly store and kitchen. A great candidate will be quick, diligent and willing to improve on the job. Able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepared sandwiches from our deli menu Follow basic cooking directions from our recipe book. (Prepare simple dishes such as salads, sides etc Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables.) Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they are organized and easily accessible. Ensure all food and other items are labeled and stored properly Perform other kitchen duties as assigned Participate in a group effort to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc. Take orders and answer customer questions about our products. Cash out orders at the register. Stock product on the sales floor.

Skills

Kitchen Experience or similar role Sales Experience or similar role Good communication skills and ability to interact with our customers Team player: Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils Able to lift cases being delivered and endurance to be on your feet in the kitchen for the duration of the shift

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
