The Clinical Director is accountable for the comprehensive operations of the Emergency Department. This role is crucial for ensuring excellence in patient care, leading our dedicated team, managing our resources effectively, and fostering a positive work environment for our Associates. You will play a vital role in improving clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction while maintaining our financial health.
A Brief Overview
The Clinical Director oversees the department's daily operations, ensuring effective clinical care delivery, leadership development, resource management, and compliance with accreditation standards.
What you will do
Clinical Operations: Lead 24/7 operations, maintaining high patient safety standards and responsiveness to clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Associate Management: Hire, coach, develop, and evaluate performance, ensuring engagement and retention while promoting a positive work atmosphere.
Fiscal Management: Contribute to planning, develop budgets, analyze variances, and initiate plans for management while effectively utilizing data for informed decision-making.
Environmental Management: Ensure readiness for accreditation and regulatory compliance, and oversee the physical upkeep of facilities and equipment.
Professional Practice Leadership: Serve as a role model in nursing, demonstrating professionalism and pursuing high-level professional designations.
Education/Formal Training Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - RN
Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing - RN
Work Experience Requirements
3-5 years in an acute care environment or current specialty
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association required
Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC) preferred
Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) preferred
Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) preferred
Registered Nurse License in Arkansas, Mississippi, or Tennessee required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership competencies
Proficiency in PC applications, including word processing
Analytical skills to interpret data and develop plans
Supervision Provided by this Position
