The Retail Supervisor is responsible for supervising, motivating, and coordinating daily retail store operations in a professional, courteous, and service-driven manner. Support, train and lead store staff to success by enforcing service standards, suggestive up-selling, in depth product knowledge, creative merchandising, working as a team player, recognizing, and acting on retail related trends and assume financial responsibility for your outlet. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Motivate and lead Sales Associates to achieve and succeed monthly sales goals and dollar spent per occupied room goal daily by using service standards. Implement sales selling and product training techniques for all Sales Associates in order to achieve sales objectives. Implement contests or sales incentives on a monthly basis and recognize top performers. Develop staff and assist with merchandise presentation of sales floor, in-store product knowledge, promotional and window displays. Develop an enthusiastic approach to suggesting other plaza shops and their merchandise as a cross-marketing tool. Implement weekly tasks and work assignments for each Sales Associates based on inventories, shipment, product displays, customer orders, back stock, and paperwork. Assists with completion and delivery of required monthly SOS audits. Assists Director of Retail with vendor partnerships including processing of invoices for retail and spa shops and submitting monthly accruals. Assists Director of Retail with partnering with corporate buyers to create and maintain adequate inventory levels for each season. Assist in annual budget preparation with Retail Manager by discussing staffing levels, merchandise assortment, store layout, store operations and revenue projections. Assist Director of Retail in recruiting and hiring new staff members. Take an active role in the interview process and performance evaluations of staff. Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
