Join our team as a Retail Store Manager Trainee, where you'll receive comprehensive training in all aspects of store management. This role prepares you to successfully operate your own store, where you will supervise daily activities, ensure outstanding store performance, manage staffing needs, develop schedules, and mentor your team.

Starting Wage: $28.50 per hour
Year 1 Earning Potential: Up to $103,000 (including salary and bonus opportunities)

Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
Demonstrating the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) essential for success in this role.
Supervising daily operations to provide exceptional customer service.
Understanding and communicating the company’s core values to foster teamwork.
Addressing customer concerns and ensuring resolutions.
Maintaining proper store signage and ensuring product quality and freshness.
Assisting in hiring by reviewing resumes and conducting interviews.
Preparing and managing weekly schedules for optimal staffing.
Setting clear job responsibilities and performance expectations for the team.
Conducting store meetings to promote a positive team environment.
Identifying training and development opportunities for team members.
Performing annual evaluations and recommending personnel for advancement or termination.
Achieving payroll and loss budget goals.
Managing cash audits according to company guidelines.
Monitoring the competitive landscape and advising on necessary adjustments.
Providing product feedback, including recommendations on new items or discontinuations.
Ensuring a safe environment for all by addressing hazards and maintaining equipment.
Overseeing product merchandising and managing inventory levels.
Performing inventory counts as per company standards.
Following company policies while securing confidential information.
Performing additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
You must be able to:
Stock merchandise, including lifting products weighing up to 45 pounds.
Engage in various physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, and walking throughout the store.

Education and Experience:
Preferred qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience.
A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Prior management experience is preferred.
Travel:
As a full-time manager trainee, you will train at multiple locations and must be flexible with travel requirements.
